GSSD Minimum Requirements - Base Operator

Personnel in the Base Operator category are called out to most searches and provide specific base camp support to the OL and the teams in the field. Base Operator personnel are required to:

1. Have all of the handler requirements specified under Ready Searcher category.

2. Possess knowledge and proficiency in base camp operations and procedures.

3. Possess working knowledge of GSSD search operations and be proficient in acting as a intermediary between teams and OL.

4. Possess a current technician level ham radio license.
