German Shepherd Search Dogs

of Washington State

Serving Washington State since 1969.

Operating out of Pierce County.

Anyone participating in Search and Rescue knows the importance of the right equipment for the job. For members of German Shepherd Search Dogs of Washington State (GSSD) the right equipment includes a four-footed partner. Our canine friends bring a different level of skills and abilities to the search, whether it's for lost or missing persons, deceased subjects, or evidence.

The purpose of German Shepherd Search Dogs is to provide, as a free public service, trained canines and handlers for search and rescue efforts to visitors and people of Pierce County, and Washington State, in cooperation with local law enforcement, and other agencies on a twenty-four-hour basis, while providing continuous training and education to our team to ensure a competent, capable, and professional response in times of need.

We do not handle private missions or requests.
