Serving Washington State since 1969.
Currently operating in Pierce, Thurston, Mason, and Kitsap counties- and then some.
Anyone participating in Search and Rescue knows the importance of the right equipment for the job. For members of German Shepherd Search Dogs of Washington State (GSSD) the right equipment includes a four-footed partner. Our canine friends bring a different level of skills and abilities to the search, whether it's for lost or missing persons, deceased subjects, or evidence.
The purpose of German Shepherd Search Dogs is to provide search and rescue trained dog and handler teams 24/7. To ensure a competent and capable service, GSSD provides continuous training and education for members and their dogs. GSSD is a free, volunteer-based public service available at the request of any official agency. We do not handle private requests.
